What's happenin'?

Yeah, long time, no post. I know.

I’m never sure what to write about, so it’s taken me a while to think of something. Eventually, I just gave up and decided to post some random going-ons in my general life.

First, Andrew. He’s been contemplating finding a new job. Mostly, he’s sick of putting up with his boss, who is a huge jerk. And no, that’s not just my biased opinion. The company has a lot of customers that refuse to deal with Boss, based on his attitude and complete disregard for others. Every week, they argue over Andy’s commissions and hours, until finally Andy has hit the end of his rope. So, he demanded to be put on salary. This is a good thing, especially if he can get the salary he is requesting. He’s going to try to work it out, since he loves his job and has 8 years invested in it already.

Second, my mom. I get asked about her a lot since my Dad and Grandma died. She’s doing fine; how?, I have no idea. Time and again, her courage and stamina leave me amazed and embarrassed by my own lack thereof. Truly, this woman should be canonized. It’s been 6 months and during this whole time, her world has been thrown into a whirlwind of change, yet she manages to keep going. She takes care of not only herself, but my sister (who is a single mom) and her 3 kids. She recently moved and is settling herself in nicely. Now, she is just trying to find a job. My fingers, toes and everything else are crossed for her.

Third, life in general. In case you haven’t been one of the fortunate ones that I bragged to already, I’m getting a raise. This is very good news, as the money is much needed. We are having some plumbing issues and the current bid to correct these issues is about 2G’s. This hurts my heart. Still, I can’t complain too much. We’ve lived in the house for the better part of 6 years and nothing else expensive has broken yet. I guess it’s just our turn.

Fourth, the in-laws. So far, I’ve been able to avoid the family dinner at my house, but my lucky streak can’t last much longer. If we have to come up with many more excuses, they will start to think I don’t like them. We sure don’t want them getting that idea. My SIL is trying to work things out with her almost ex-husband. They had a huge falling out last August and are slowly, but surely mending fences. Though, I think it’s mainly because of their 3 sons. Oh, and if they insinuate that I HAVE to Hurry up and have kids right this second!, heads will roll.

That’s things, in a nutshell. I promise I will try to come up with something more entertaining to talk about, like the time I almost cut off my finger with an applesauce can. I’m sure your dying to hear that one, huh?

Sometimes life just isn't that interesting. It's what you do with it that is.

That sounds like a good story. However, I loved reading your ramble post. I'm glad your mom is doing so well!
