Interview with Margarita

1. Have you ever run/ran "into" anything? (wall, door, person?)

Umm, all of the above. And I'm sure, in at least one instance, all at the same time. I cannot for the life of me walk a straight line. I blame it on the broken leg I had as a child. Andy has to warn me to look out for something every. time. we. go. out. It's become somewhat of a joke. And God forbid, if I am in charge of steering the shopping cart. For some unknown reason, my peripheral vision and leg coordination just do not line up.

2. Do you own any autographs of famous people? If not, whose would you like to have?

Somewhere in my attic, I have all the autographs of the Golden Girls. (Go ahead and laugh. They RULE.) We sorta inherited them from my grandfather. There are also a ton of pics of him with famous people, from when he worked at Graceland, but most of them aren't autographed. Don't know if that counts. There might be an Elvis signature on something, since we gots blood ties with him and all, but I can't be positive.

If I can choose who I'd like to have the autograph of, it would be Tom Hanks, George Carlin, Robin Williams and Bono. Especially Bono. I heart him so very much.

3. Finish this sentence and explain why: I would love to trade my life with (name someone here) just to see how they live for a day.

Hmm, let's see. I would have to say Queen Elizabeth. She has probably the absolute most different life. And can you imagine actually being able to say you were Queen for a Day? I don't know that I would like it or that it would even be all the interesting. I'm sure there are a ton of boring social events she must attend and a lot of responsibilities, but I'm dying to see how lavish her life is in the way of material things. Yes, I'm a bit shallow. Shut it.

4. If your life was a book, what would the title be?

“Basketcase”? “HOW ARE YOU SO NORMAL”? That's a joke most of you get, if you know anything about my family.

5. If you were to choose a new name for yourself, what would it be?

Wow, the possibilities. Lucky for me, I have a baby girl on the way, so I can use her to live vicariously through, including giving her a cool name. I'd probably pick Violet for myself, though. I LOVE the color purple. My Daddy always said that we were royalty and purple is the color for that. (Hey! A little more background to wanting to be Queen Elizabeth!) Also, it's a name that I just love for its old time sound and uniqueness. I've been trying to convince Andy to use it as a middle name for Lucy, but no dice. He says it looks too much like violent. Whatevs. Our deal was that I get first name privileges and he gets middle name.

Obviously, I'm a little behind in the “interviewing” trend, but if you want to be interviewed, just let me know.

"How are you NORMAL?" It's been 20 years and I still can't answer that question. :o) Lylas!! My vote is still for Lucille Katherine. Has a nice ring to it.
